AGENT ORANGE

Agent Orange is a type of herbicide used to defoliate some areas of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. A wide variety of ailments have been attributed to exposure to Agent Orange and other herbicides, ranging from cancer to birth defects and Type II diabetes. There is no test for Agent Orange exposure. However, veterans can receive an Agent Orange screening at a VA Medical Center, and the results will be included in the Agent Orange Registry, a national data base of health information related to veterans who are concerned that they may have been exposed to Agent Orange or some other herbicide during their service.
